Activity Descriptions

Archery

Start their journey to becoming the next Olympic Champion!

The aim of this activity is to provide participants with a new recreational experience, develop motor skills, increase self-confidence and gain an understanding of the fundamental skills and safety issues associated with Archery.

Participants receive coaching from our instructors on stance and technique, and how to use the re-curve bows to shoot at target boards.

Archery Tag

Archery is a new friendly combat activity in which participants can put their skills to the ultimate test.

Under the watchful eye of our instructors, players attempt to hit each other with foam-tipped arrows, which are designed specifically to not cause injury, and thus allow players to enjoy the thrill of competition and work on improving their archery technique, while remaining in a safe and respectful environment.

Bodyboarding

Body boarding is ideal for anyone who would like to experience the thrills and spills of the ocean as you embrace the challenge of catching and riding waves!

With this ‘no experience necessary’ lesson, all participants will have a fantastic time in the waves. Our fully qualified instructors will cover beach and water safety, ensuring all students have the knowledge to stay safe in the ocean for a lifetime. They will then move on to cover all the basics of using a bodyboard as well as how to maneuver the board through the waves. They won’t stop there either. Once students are confident with the basics, the instructor will move on to teach more advanced skills and tricks as participants quickly go from zero to hero.

Bush Craft

Bush craft explores a range of different skills required for camping in the bush.

Everyone will learn to work with their surroundings under full supervision in their attempts to start a campfire. We’ll then put their cooking skills to the test as they rustle up some damper before they move on to building their own shelter. They will learn to identify suitable camping sites and erect their own shelters.  All the while, all aspects of minimal impact camping will be covered.

The Flying Fox is a ‘challenge by choice’ activity that comes with many different challenges.

First, participants must climb the pole or ladder (this may be a challenge in itself) up to the platform where an instructor will then attach them to the Flying Fox. The second (and greatest) challenge is for them to leap from the platform!
